Obituary

William Gerald (Doobie) Hawke, 85, of Calhoun Co., GA died Tuesday, September 8, 2020. Private graveside funeral services will be held.

My sweet Daddy, William G. Hawke, whom I will miss more than words can say. Daddy was born on March 5th 1935 in Calhoun Co. After graduating he worked and retired from Sears 41 years as a Appliance Repair Technician/Auto Mechanic/Small Engines Mechanic. He received many Certificates and Rewards through them years. He loved his 54 Jubilee tractor that he farmed with. He loved gardening with his tiller ( Digger Dan ). He loved playing with his Granddaughter Breana Shippey. He would push her in the swing, play school with her. He was her best patient when playing doctor. Just 2 days ago he asked Breana if she would give him a shot! He said you always gave me a real hard shot and laughed.  For many years when visiting us he would ride Breana through the pine tree trail just before leaving while singing" Here we go loop te loop , Here we go loop te laah, Here we go loop te loop all on a Saturday night " ! He also enjoyed riding on the golf cart with Breana. On the fourth of July we would take the boat out and watch the fireworks on several occasions. Every year when the Grancie Grey Beard tree was in full bloom he would come and get a picture with us. Paw Paw loved his family very much. My mother Carolyn, my Husband Ed my Sister Diana, her husband Bruce,my late Brother Billy, his wife Denise, two granddaughters Breana and Brittany, Brittanys husband Corey, great grandson Harrison. He loved his animals especially cats. His special animal frinds left behind are Cats, Lady, Buddy, Moma Kitty and his Dog Birdie. I love you and miss you so much Daddy.
