Sandra Frazier Hayes

Sandra Frazier Hayes, 75, of Albany, GA died Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, October 21, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Lighthouse Ministries. Rev. Chris Turner will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Hayes was born in Albany, Ga and educated in the Dougherty Co. School System. She received her Masters in Cosmetology and worked for the 4th Avenue Hair Designers until she retired. She was a member of Lighthouse Ministries and was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde Frazier and Ossie Mae Conley Frazier, brothers, Edgar Ronald Frazier, Cecil Frazier and sisters, Beverly Rumak and Brenda Mitchell.

Mrs. Hayes was a godly, kind, humble, loving friend to everyone she met. She enjoyed arts and crafts, ceramics, and Home Interior Parties. Sandra always enjoyed going to town to her favorite department store, Belks, was an avid QVC home shopper, and loved daily talks with her children and spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed family gatherings and when her church doors were open, you could count on Sandra to attend. She had a voice like an angel from heaven when she sang with the choir or solo. The Lord God was her priority in her daily life, and her favorite verse was Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things though Christ who strengthens me.”

Survivors include her husband, Henry Hayes, Albany, GA, sons, Ron Johnson (Amanda), Sylvester, GA, Jeff Johnson (Linda), Brooksville, FL, Hank Hayes (Janet), Leesburg, GA,

Daughters, Melanie Higbee (Charles), New London, CT, Diane Gruber (Ronnie), Sylvester, GA, Tracey Patton, Panama City, FL, Donna Openshaw (Marcus), Dahlonega, GA, sisters Linda Oxley, Albany, Arlene Goolsby, Americus, seventeen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Sunday, October 20, 2019 from 6:00 pm. until 8:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
