Carol Denise Kerrey Branton, 61, of Albany, GA formerly Franklin, NC died Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Friday, October 18, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, Climax, GA. Rev. Tom Pollock will officiate.

Born in Albany, GA, Mrs. Branton had resided in Franklin, NC before moving back to Albany, GA. Carol graduated from Eustis High School in Eustis, Florida. She graduated with an associate degree from Tallahassee Community College, Tallahassee, Florida and continued her education attending Florida State University. She was a lifelong Florida State fan. Carol worked as an Administrative Assistant for several companies in SW Georgia prior to moving to Franklin, NC. Carol loved the mountains. She was a devoted member of Walnut Creek Baptist Church in Franklin, NC. She loved her church, her family, and her Lord. Her husband, Travis Branton preceded her in death

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca Fetterhoff and husband David, Jacksonville, FL, parents, Thomas W. Kerrey and Clara Allen Kerrey, a sister, Pam A. Kerrey, brother, Tom Kerrey all of Albany, GA and two grandchildren, Andrew and Savanah Fetterhoff, Jacksonville, FL.
