Alice Jeannette Johns

Alice Jeannette Johns, 98, of Homestead, FL, died November 10, 2019 at Homestead Baptist Hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held Friday, December 6, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Riverside Cemetery. Mr. Randy Johns will officiate.

Mrs. Johns was born in Sumter County, GA on May 15, 1921 to the late James and Mattie Mae Hart. She grew up in Leslie, GA on the family farm and spent a major portion of her adult life in Albany, GA and married Arthur B. Johns, Jr on June 29, 1941. Mrs. Johns and her family moved to Homestead, FL in the early 70’s where she spent the rest of her life. During her career, Mrs. Johns was Rosie the Riveter, a beautician, retail salesperson, and a Daycare worker at a Baptist Daycare Center in Homestead, FL.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur B. Johns, Jr in 1983.

Survivors include her son Morton Johns of Homestead, FL and a brother, Claude Hart of Atlanta, GA.
