Yonnie Kaye Price, of Albany, GA., died Tuesday, August 18. 2026 at her residence surrounded by her family. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Lighthouse Ministries, 2320 S. Liberty Expressway, Albany, GA 31705. Rev. Chris Turner will officiate.

Yonnie was born in Cuthbert, GA. to the late William Lee "Bill" White and Ruby Roney Dell. She grew up in Blakely, GA., where she fell in love with the restaurant and hospitality industry. As a young girl she worked with her father at his seafood and Oyster Bar in Blakely. She later attended school in Worth County where she was a cheerleader. When she was younger, she enjoyed playing softball and was featured in a calendar one year. Yonnie loved 60’s and 70’s music and she loved to dance. She loved to dance with her the father and her favorite memory was dancing with him to Floyd Cramer’s “Last Date”.

Yonnie was a hard-working woman and worked in several aspects of the restaurant industry. Whether a gathering of small friends or a large formal banquet, she could plan and orchestrate it well. Yonnie not only could plan an event, but was also a great cook and could make a great meal with anything. She worked alongside her family for many years at White's Seafood and Barbeque. Yonnie served and cared for countless members in the community, making sure that her customers received the best service. She later went on to work for Merry Acres as an Event Coordinator as well as anything else that needed to be handled, Yonnie could do it all.

She loved animals and loved raising English Cocker Spaniels with her husband. Yonnie had a passion for horses and when she was able, enjoyed riding and showing horses. She enjoyed living with her husband on the plantation. Yonnie loved nature and found solitude, sitting on the porch listening to the quail and being outdoors. She also enjoyed seeing her children and grandchildren ride horses and play sports. More than anything, she loved her family and was always an active part in their life. Yonnie was a “spitfire” which made her a supportive wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and their defender.

Yonnie enjoyed hosting family and friends at her home. During the years of her children being in school, her home became a hub for countless friends and family. Yonnie took great pleasure in caring for the people who came through her doors. She loved her home and enjoyed decorating for the holidays. Yonnie took various items found in nature and used them to decorate her home beautifully.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a brother, Chet White and her father and mother-in-law, Bill and Ernestine Price.

Survivors include her husband, Scott Price, her children, Mori Horne (Robbie), Kala Harrelson (Buddy), Teddy Price, Rebecca Horne (Randy) and Ila Price, her siblings, Keith White (Dianne), Robbin White Lamb, Eric White (Kim), Becky Anglin Duke, a sister-in-law, Diane White (Chet), an adopted brother, Don Edwards, eighteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren with one on the way and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

The family would like to give a special thanks to her daughter Rebecca Horne for taking such great care of her mother, as well as Wendy Laramore, and her hospice nurse Kristen and the rest of the staff of Phoebe Hospice
