Yolanda Jean Butler

Yolanda Jean Butler of Albany, GA., died Friday, May 8, 2026 at Willson Hospice House. Her wishes were to be cremated and a service to be held at a later date. 

Yolanda was born in Uniondale, NY., and attended Uniondale High School. She worked for many years as a mortgage processing agent. Yolanda loved fashion and was known for her chic style and extensive shoe collection. She also enjoyed going to the beach and was very athletic when she was able. Her favorite pastime was listening to R&B music and watching comedies.

Yolanda was preceded in death by her grandmother, Eola Washington, great aunts and uncles, her aunt Jeanette Roberts, her uncle Clarence Washinton Jr., and her aunt Annie Jeter. 

She is survived by her mother Eunice Ervin, her children, Jelani Hamilton, Siraaj Butler, Asha Butler and Amaya Butler, her sisters, Monique Ervin, Shanika Garvin and Tashema Garvin, her nephew Shomari Philips, her aunt Yvonne Johnson and uncle Clarence Johnson as well as a host of cousins.
