Wilburn Charles (Mike) Jeschke, Jr., 66, of Leesburg, GA died Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 6, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Albany, GA. Rev. Mark Rabe will officiate. Graveside services will be held at Miles Cemetery in Miles, Texas on January 11, 2014.

A native of Lowake, TX, Mr. Jeschke started working for his father at a young age in their businesses of Lowake and Veribest Cotton Gins and was employed in various cotton gins all of his working life. He graduated from Wall High School in 1965 and was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the United States Army Infantry from 1969 until 1971.

Mr. Jeschke had lived in Tifton, GA before moving to Leesburg, GA in 2000. He was a Mason and a member of Masonic Lodge # 708 F & AM, a member of Hasan Shrine Center, Albany Shrine Club, Legion of Honor and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Albany, GA and also a member of VFW Post 9196. His past-times included baseball, softball, football and cotton gins.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Beth Erin and his mother and father, Wilburn and Evelyn Jeschke.

Survivors include his wife, Angela Louise Jeschke of Leesburg, GA, a son and his wife, David and Christine Jeschke of Leander, TX, a daughter, Katherine Jeschke of Leesburg, GA, two sisters, Ellen Jeschke of Austin, TX and Binnie Dierschke and her husband, Kenneth of St. Angelo, TX, two brothers, Roger Jeschke and his wife, Deni of Phoenix, AZ and John Jeschke of Veribest, TX, his brother-in-law, Don Bird and his wife Barbara of Brownwood, TX, his grandchildren, Keegan and Reese Jeschke of Leander, TX and his nephews, Kenny Dierschke of Denver City, TX, Pat Dierschke of Wall, TX and Scott Bird of Brownwood, TX and his nieces Kara Byers of Mountain Home, ID and Tanya Favor of San Angelo, TX.

Masonic rites will be held Sunday at 6:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home with visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m.
