William "Bill" Webb

Torance William "Bill" Webb Jr , 91, of Albany, GA passed away on August 10, 2026. 

He was born on September 15,1934 to Torance William Webb Sr and Madge Elizabeth Norris Webb Johnson who along with his sister Martha Ellen Webb and his wife of over 59 years, Joanne Bryant Webb, predeceased him. 

Mr. Webb was a former Naval pilot who also flew for Delta Airlines following his service in the military. He moved to Albany in 1968 and achieved the rank of Certified Safety Inspector. It was in this capacity that he worked in the insurance field until his retirement. He was an accomplished woodworker who built cabinets and shelves for his home as well as a camper used for family vacations. He also had a deep and life long love of southern gospel music, and a tremendous dedication to serving in a variety of ways at the church he called home, The First Church of the Nazarene. When time permitted, he used his time online to follow the Falcons and Braves, of whom he was an avid fan. 

He is survived by his daughter Marsha Ann Webb and son, William Michael Webb 

The family will receive visitors at 2 PM on Thursday August 13, 2026 at Mathews Funeral Home.  Services will follow at 3:00 pm with Mr. Steve Hurley officiating.
