William Cameron Bundy

William Cameron Bundy, 86, of Albany, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at VIVA Assisted Living.

In keeping with his wishes, Mr. Bundy will be cremated, and no services will be held.

Born on February 9, 1940, in Troy, Alabama, he was the son of the late Ernest Bundy and Johnnie Hickman Bundy. William proudly served his country in the United States Army, as a paratrooper before continuing his dedication to public service with the Alabama Army National Guard, where he retired as a Staff Sergeant. He also earned his bachelor's degree. In 2022, he moved from Evergreen, Alabama, to Albany, Georgia, to be closer to loved ones.

He is survived by his children, Matthew Bundy (Karla) of Auburn, Alabama, Lee Tucker (Sonny) of Oakfield, Georgia, and Maria Grant (Kevin) of Senoia, Georgia; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Joe Bundy, Kathleen Yarborough, and Alice Buchanan.
