Wilburn "Dean" Harper

Wilburn "Dean" Harper, 70, of Middleburg, FL formerly, Albany, GA passed away Monday, January 26, 2026 at his home. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 7, 2026  at 11:00 a.m. at Riverside Cemetery in Albany, GA. Rev. Malcolm Parker will officiate.

Mr. Harper was born in Albany, GA and had resided here all of his life until 2016 when he relocated to Jacksonville, FL with his oldest daughter where he remained. Dean attended the Dougherty County School System, he was retired from The Food Bank of Southwest Georgia, he was of the Christian faith.

He was proceeded in death by his wife, Joy Harper, a son, Jason Harper, his parents, Wilburn Harper and Minnie Lula Harper, siblings, Brother Alan Harper and sister, Elmira Harper McGlamry.

Survivors include children, Leslie Harper Benoit and son-in-law, Chris Laister, Jacksonville, FL, Lindsey Harper, Albany, GA, sister, Catherine Williams, Albany, GA, grandchildren, Nicholas Scott Harper, Leesburg, GA, Timothy Patrick Benoit, Jacksonville, FL, William Dean Harper, Leesburg, GA, Silas Randall Bush and Zoey Marie Bush all of Albany, GA.
