Wayne A. Apperson

Wayne A. Apperson, 72, of Lee Co., Ga, died Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at his residence. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Friday, February 10, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Leesburg Cemetery. Pastor Chris Pollock will officiate.

Born in Albany, GA, Mr. Apperson had resided in Lee Co., GA since 1990 moving from Albany, GA and was retired from the Dougherty County School System. He was of the Pentecostal faith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice Hay Apperson and a daughter, Joan Apperson Ambrose.

Survivors include a son, Tony D. Apperson and his wife Teresa, Bainbridge, GA, a daughter, Angie Apperson Harrell, Worth Co., GA, three sisters, Dorothy DePriest and Patricia Hancock both of Americus, GA, Shelby Jean Pollock, Worth Co., GA, nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends following the services at graveside.
