Wandora H. "Dodie" Shearer

Wandora H. “Dodie” Shearer of Albany, GA died Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at her residence. A visitation will be held Wednesday, December 27, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.

Born in Cullman, AL., to the late Buster and Odelle Haynes, Dodie graduated from Mercer University in 1974. She was a teacher and taught for many years with the Dougherty County School System. Before retiring she learned Braille and taught blind students. Dodie loved decorating and playing golf with her husband.

She is survived by her husband, Phil Shearer.
