Virginia Ruth Hurley

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home.

A Graveside Service will be held 11 a.m. (EST) Monday, November 27, 2023 at Floral Memory Gardens in Albany, Georgia. Her nephew, Deacon Johnny Davis will officiate.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at Cumberland City First Baptist Church.

Virginia entered this life on October 18, 1937, in Pitts, Georgia to the late Pope and Alice Owens Johnson. She was a member of Cumberland City First Baptist Church and the Ajax Turner 50 + Center. Virginia was also a Girl Scout leader and involved with both Home Demonstration Club and Meals on Wheels.

Survivors include her son, Mark A. Hurley (Maria); daughter, Toni Denise Hurley; grandchildren, Anthony Hurley, Giovanni Moldiz, Elsa Moldiz, Meagan Anthony, Derrick Hurley, Patrick Hurley, Michael Fouts, Leighlan Fouts, Sarah Bosler, and Rose Burney, and great-grandchildren, Gypsy, Genie, William, Blake, Hunter, Brynn, Freya, Lilah, Evalis, Kaiden, Donna, Kobe, and Lexa. Virginia was the honorary grandmother and mother to many who loved and adored her. She will be deeply missed.
