Van Anthony Howell

Van Anthony Howell, 55, of Albany, GA passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Central Baptist Church,1618 Third Avenue, Albany, GA, 31707. Reverend Doug Eason and Dr. Tab Howell will officiate.

Van was the son of Kenneth and Diane Howell of Albany, GA. He was a member of Central Baptist Church and also a former member of Second Baptist Church in Macon, GA. He was a former board member of NAMI Chapter office in Albany, GA. He attended Albany Junior College.

Van was employed by Liberty National Life Insurance Company in Macon, GA and also the Macon Telegraph before going on disability in 2006.

He is survived  by his loving daughter, whom he was proud of, Elizabeth Olivia Howell, his brothers are Ken Howell, Albany, GA, Tab Howell (Candace) and nephews, Noah and Titus of Arlington, TX, his sweet aunts and uncles are Wanda and Scott Fitzgerald, Joy Howell all of Macon, GA and John Merwyn Whitaker, (Ann), Huntsville, AL and also survived by many cousins. We will always remember Van as being witty, loving and kindhearted.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at Central Baptist Church.
