Travis Brady Donnelly

Travis Brady Donnelly,70, of Albany, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at the Willson Hospice House with his family by his side. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026 at Mathews Funeral Home at 5:00pm. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at West View Cemetery in Milledgeville, Georgia at 12 noon.

Born November 22, 1955, in Milledgeville, Georgia to the late Arthur and Mamie Jean Donnelly. Travis graduated from Georgia State University obtain his master’s degree in Biology. He retired as an Emergency Preparedness Specialist for Health District 8-2 in the state of Georgia. His work in this critical role demonstrated his commitment to public health and safety. In addition to his service in emergency preparedness, Travis shared his passion for learning by teaching mathematics, anatomy and physiology at Darton State College.

Outside of his professional life, Travis was an avid reader and a collector of books. He had a particular fondness for the works of Edgar Allan Poe and enjoyed the science fiction genre. His love of literature was complemented by a good sense of humor—he was known for his playful jokes and kind demeanor. He also found joy in listening to classic rock music.

Travis is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Verna Inandan; his son Michael Hudgins and his wife Kylie; grandchildren Kevin Hudgins and his wife Kaitlyn, Hadley Hudgins, Jude Hudgins, and Renley Hudgins; as well as two great-grandchildren, Parklynn and Kimber Hudgins, all residing in Albany, Georgia. He is also survived by his brother, Jim Skipper of Milledgeville, Georgia.

A visitation will be on Friday, May 1, 2026, at Mathews Funeral Home beginning at 4:00Pm.
