Thomas Gerald Clenney

Thomas Gerald Clenney, 76, of Lee Co., GA passed away Monday, August 10, 2026. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, August 15, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Thundering Springs Cemetery. Rev. Johnny White will officiate.

Gerald was born in Colquitt, GA and was educated in the Miller County School System, he joined the United States Marine Corps and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He ws employed with Firestone Tire and Rubber in Albany, GA for twelve and a half years until the closing of the plant and he was a mechanical millwright as trade, working with R & L Engineering on the mechanic's of the diaper machines and served Watkins and Yeargin Construction Companies.

His favorites in life were hunting, fishing, watching westerns, reading the Bible and creating flower beds and maintaining them through the season.  

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Carroll Clenney, Leesburg, GA, son, Jason Clenney and his wife, Lindsey, Lee Co., GA, daughter, Karmen Miles and her husband, Hunter, Louisiana, sister, Debra Wagner, Preston, GA, brother-in-law, Dale Henegar, Leesburg, GA, grandchildren, Payton Clenney, Annabelle Clenney, Jack Thomas Miles, Nora Kate Miles, Mason Hart, J. T. Tucker and Grace Tucker, also several nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.

The family will received friends Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at Mathews Funeral Home.
