Theodore Kent “Rooster” Jenkins, 67, of Albany, GA, passed away May 12, 2026 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 11:00 am at Mathews Funeral Home.
Rooster was born in Blakely, GA on December 24, 1958 to the late Clark and Joanne Jenkins. He lived in Missouri, Illinois and Leary, GA. Rooster lived all of his adult life in Albany, GA and was a truck driver for Hall’s Landscaping and Jim Boyd Construction for thirty-one years before opening up Jenkins Lawn Care. He enjoyed quality time with his grandchildren, fishing, the outdoors, the beach and maintaining Winchester Woodworks property.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clark Jenkins, his mother and step-father, Joanne and Rudolph Watzlowick, his siblings, Albert Rodney and Toni Cloud, his brother-n-law Joey Hogan, his grandson, Fransico Perez-Ajanel and his in-laws, Genese and Earl Hogan.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Jenkins, six children, Franklin Jenkins of Albany, GA, Kimberly Jenkins of East Moline, IL, Stacy Jenkins Perez-Ajanel (Alejandro) and Theodore “T.J.” Jenkins all of Albany, GA, Jasiah Jenkins of Camp Kinser, Japan and Isaiah Jenkins of Albany, GA, four sibling, Clark "Doc" Jenkins (Sue) of Albany, GA, Tracy Tarrer of Leesburg, GA, Ricky Watzlowick (Robert) of Americus, GA and Wendi White (James) of Albany, GA, three grandchildren, Cameron Jenkins, Alejandro Prezez-Ajanel, Jr. and Alexander Prezez-Ajanel. Family members, Patsy Jacobs of Dothan, AL, Rodney Hogan (Charlotte) of LeGrange, GA, and Mark Hogan (Kay) of Leesburg, GA.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am Saturday at Mathews Funeral Home.
