Thelma Jewell Griffin

Thelma Jewel Griffin, 86, of Albany, GA died Thursday, July 4, 2013 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Graveside services will be conducted Monday, July 8, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.

A native and lifelong resident of Albany, GA, Mrs. Griffin was retired from Fritex and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Charles Griffin, a son, Jack Charles Griffin, Jr., a special cousin, William E. Pickron, a grandchild, Jacob Lee Lyles, a sister, Verna Etheridge and several nieces and nephews.

Survivors include a son, Gene Griffin, Albany, GA, two daughters, Sandra Guy, Cochran, GA and Jan Mack, Sylvester, GA, two sisters, Elizabeth Tucker (Bruce), Lee Co., GA, Carolyn Cox (Lee), Albany, GA, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flower those desiring may make memorials to The American Heart Association, The American Kidney Foundation, or The American Cancer Society.
