Teresa Glow Grubbs

Teresa Glow Grubbs, 71, of Terrell County, GA, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2026, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services celebrating Teresa’s life will be held Thursday, September 24, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Sherwood Baptist Church. Her son, the Reverend Garrett Grubbs, and the Reverend John Spencer will officiate. Teresa will be laid to rest at Crown Hill Cemetery.

Teresa was born in Adel, GA, on June 18, 1955, to Willie and Lucille Glow. As the daughter of a military father, she had the unique opportunity to spend part of her childhood in Germany, where she became fluent in German. She also lived for a time in Steinhatchee, FL, a place that held many special memories for her. However, Lee County and Terrell County were home for most of her life. She graduated from Dougherty High School in 1973.

A hardworking and determined woman, Teresa owned and operated Norell Temp Agency before beginning a thirteen-year career with Kelly Services, where she served as regional manager. Her natural ability to work with people, along with her strong work ethic and caring spirit, allowed her to touch many lives throughout her career.

Teresa’s faith was an important part of her life. She was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church and Ruth’s Shining Light Sunday School Class. Her church family held a special place in her heart. Teresa had a love for horses and treasured the peaceful moments she spent fishing and scalloping in Florida.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph D. Grubbs; her cherished son, Austin “Pete” Grubbs, her loving father, Willie Glow and a grandson Gabe Grubbs.

Those left to treasure her memory include her children, Garrett Grubbs (Traci), Suzanne Moss (Stephen), Dean Grubbs and Derek Grubbs, her mother, Lucille Glow her brothers, Larry Glow (Leah) and Mark Glow (Debbie), her daughter-in-law, Melissa Grubbs, her beloved grandchildren, Samuel Grubbs, Emily Grubbs, Caleb Grubbs, and Chaney Grubbs, and her niece and nephews, Taylor Glow Green (Hunter), Brandon Glow (Jessica), and David Glow (Teal).

Teresa leaves behind a beautiful legacy of faith, love, strength, and treasured family memories. Although her presence will be greatly missed, the love she gave so freely will remain forever in the hearts of her family and friends.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the Atrium at Sherwood Baptist Church.
