Sybil W. Rome

Sybil W. Rome, 86, of Albany, GA, passed away August 4, 2018 at Montezuma Health Care Center. The family will have a private interment ceremony, Monday, at Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Born in Lake City, FL to the late Plyer and Emmylou May, Sybil has resided in Albany, GA most of her adult life. She retired from the Dougherty County School System serving over twenty years in the Lake Park lunchroom. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, flowers, and cooking for family.

Sybil is survived by her husband, of 64 years, Claude Rome of Albany, GA, two daughters Meloney Morris of Albany, GA, Linda Talbott of Parkersburg, WV, four grandchildren Nathan Watson of Albany, GA, Trent Morris, Lorie Talbot of Pensacola, FL, Chad Talbot of E. Liverpool, OH, two great great- grandchildren Zeke Watson and Harleigh Watson of Albany, GA, and a sister Chapple Statham of Albany, GA.
