Sue Howard Jordan

Sue Howard Jordan, age 87, passed away after a life devoted to her family, faith, and community. She was born on May 9, 1939, in Schley County, Georgia, to the late Perry Thomas Streetman, Sr. and Susie Eason Streetman.

Her funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday October 5, 2026 at Dawson Methodist Church.  Rev. Phil Steetman and Mrs. Courtney Grebel officiating.

Mrs. Jordan graduated from Schley County High School. In 1958, she married the love of her life, Donald Howard, and made her home in Terrell County. She was a faithful member of Dawson Methodist Church where she found great joy in chaperoning youth choir and MYF trips when her daughters were teenagers. An avid shopper and gifted conversationalist, she often remarked that talking and shopping were her favorite hobbies. She especially cherished every opportunity to share stories about her family, with her beloved twin daughters always at the center of those conversations.

After the death of her husband, Donald Howard, she later married Daniel Jordan. Dan was a Godsend to Sue and her family. They enjoyed 22 years of traveling and enjoying life before Dan passed away in 2022. Sue received a bonus of 2 stepdaughters when she married Dan and she always referred to them as her girls, too.

Throughout her life, Mrs. Jordan was employed by Foster Tractor Supply and Belk. However, her greatest calling was that of homemaker and mother. Caring for her family brought her the greatest fulfillment, and they remained the focus of her life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Donald Howard and Dan Jordan; her sister, Maribel Ragan; and her brothers, Charles Burnette Streetman and Perry Thomas Streetman, Jr.

She is survived by her daughters, Carlene Howard and Darlene Paul (Butch); her stepdaughters, Jency Jordan and Judy Law (Randy); her brother, Boyette Streetman; and her step-grandson, Jim Paul; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Kaleigh Bankston Johnson, Nikki Graham and Ryan Graham affectionally called her Grandma Sue.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to her devoted caregivers, Lisa Williams and Betty Hallback Brown, whose compassionate care, friendship, and unwavering support brought comfort throughout her journey. They also express their sincere appreciation to Phoebe Hospice; Whitney Dale, RN; Linda Rivers Whitlock; Natalie Clark and Kayla Bernardoni, FNP-C for their exceptional compassion and dedicated care.

Memorial contributions may be made to Dawson Methodist Youth & Children, P.O. Box 382, Dawson, Georgia 39842.
