Stephen Dewayne Watkins

Stephen Dewayne Watkins, 66, of Leesburg, GA died, Friday, July 25 2025 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 1, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Mark Watkins will officiate.

Dewayne was born in Valdosta to the late William and Catherine Watkins, Sr. He worked as a mechanic at the Marine Corps Logistics base. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, “working” on things and playing the lottery.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother John Robert “Bobby” Watkins, Sr.

He is survived by his wife Sherrie Watkins, his children, Stevie Watkins (Gayle), Chris Watkins (Mindy), Jason Watkins (Rebecca), Jennifer Mullins (Derrick), Tanner Watkins (Carley), his step children, Ashley Giddens, Wesley Giddens (Lindsey), Laney Bridges (Luke), his siblings, Jack Watkins, Sally Crook, Cathy Hughes (Rick), Tim Watkins and Mark Watkins (Melanie) eleven grandchildren with one on the way, five great grandchildren with two on the way and a host of nieces and nephews.
