Stephen Harris

Stephen Harris, dedicated, loving and giving father, friend and loved one to many, age 45, died Saturday, December 3, 2022 at his residence. He was born November 15, 1977 in Albany, GA to parents Gloria Jean Elmore and Culbert Eugene Newell. He was preceded in death by his mother Gloria and his brother Michael Harris.

Stephen lived most of his life in Illinois with his wife and children. He also had a love for Beaufort, SC where he lived as a teenager and has many close friends.

Stephen loved fishing, grilling, good beer and being outdoors. He was passionate about helping others, his family and the Atlanta Braves and Georgia Bulldogs. His dog, Rico, was his faithful companion that never left his side.

Survivors include his children, Daniel Eaton of St. Louis, MO, Zane (Lauren) Harris and BayLee Harris both of Virden, IL, his wife Shawna Harris, his siblings, Brad (Christy) Newell of Albany, GA, Tiffany (Clint) Burleson of Groesbeck, TX, Dewayne (Cindy) Harris of Albany, GA, Uncle Kim More of Albany, GA who was like a father to him, Stepfather Son Anderson of Donalsonville, GA, and several sister in-laws, brother in-law, nieces and nephews and his mother in-law who adored him.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
