Sheila Howard Lash

Our beloved Sheila Howard Lash, born August 10, 1946, in Moultrie, Georgia, left this world on August 24, 2025, at her home in Leesburg, where she lived since 1974. She was 79.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Sheila spent 56 wonderful years married to the love of her life, Sonny Lash, building a home filled with laughter, devotion, and unconditional love. Together they raised three children—Lori, Mark, and Steven—who will forever cherish the lessons she taught through her strength, kindness, and humor. Sheila’s greatest joy came from being “Gan-Gan” to her grandchildren—Lash, Kristin, and Sunny. 

They will forever remember her love, the comfort of her cooking, and the handmade treasures she crafted with care.Sheila had a gift for making life beautiful. She was an excellent cook whose meals brought everyone together, and a creative crafter who filled her home with warmth and handmade touches. 

Her love for Georgia sports—the Bulldogs, Braves, and Falcons—gave her countless moments of joy, which she proudly shared with her family.

The heartbeat of a large family, Sheila was one of eleven siblings, and her bonds with them were a constant source of support, love, and stories that will live on for generations.

Sheila will be remembered for her big heart, her laughter, and her unwavering love for her family. Her presence filled every room with warmth, and her legacy will continue to shine through the lives she touched.
