The family will receive friends Monday September 21, 2026 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Life Church, 588 Fussell Road, Leesburg, GA, 31763. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Life Church. Rev. Matthew Schluckebrier and Rev. Ervin Clark will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.

Paul had a heart that showed up everywhere he went — at home, in the community, and especially during his 23 years working at the Albany Police Department. As a sergeant, he was deeply respected by his peers and by the people he served. Paul led with steadiness, kindness, and a quiet strength that made others feel safe just by being near him.

He was the kind of man who fixed things, helped people without being asked, and found joy in simple, grounding routines. Paul loved being outside in the garden, and for a good stretch of his life he poured his creativity into building and flying model airplanes, taking real pride in every detail.

Family was the center of Paul’s world. Some of his most peaceful moments were spent at home with us and his two yorkies, Max and Scampy, who adored him completely. Paul gave so much of himself — to his work, to his community, and to the people he loved — and he did it all with a gentleness that left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Paul lived his life with quiet devotion, steady hands, and a heart that never stopped giving.
