Sarah (Sally) Thorp Heath, 87, of Albany, GA formerly of Floral City, FL, died Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Memorial services will be held at a later date, with internment at Andersonville National Cemetery. 

Born in Monticello, NY, Mrs. Heath met the love of her life, Frank Harvey Heath, Jr. at the University of Florida and they married in 1957.  She was a social worker, high school guidance counselor, and a Guardian ad Litem.  

Sally was Methodist by Faith. She enjoyed spending time with her family, fishing, cheering for the University of Florida Gators, and being with her pets Wiggles, Mindy and Mau. An avid reader, her vocabulary was amazing – she could master just about any crossword puzzle. For many years, she was a Girl Scout Leader and a volunteer swimming instructor at Venetian Pool in Coral Gables, FL. Until recently, she was an active volunteer for numerous organizations, including TOO FAR Water & Natural Resources Foundation, Citrus County Community Patrol, Community Emergency Response Team, the Floral City Friends of the Library, the Equinunk Historical Society, and the Floral City Heritage Council. 

She is preceded in death by Frank Harvey Heath, Jr., her husband of 66 years. Survivors include her children, Heather Heath, MD, and her husband, David Wall of Palm Harbor, FL and Holly Heath and her husband, Ben Anderson of Albany, GA and five grandchildren, Jennifer Wall, MD, of San Antonio, TX, Brian Wall of Riverview, FL, Sarah Wall, MD, of Branford, CT, Daniel Anderson of Albany, GA, and Robert Anderson of Albany, GA, and two nieces Dale Rouse Waid of Verbena, AL and Diana Rouse of New York State.
