Sara Ruth Wiggins

Sara Ruth Wiggins, 82, of Albany, GA died Friday, April 11, 2014 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services with be held Monday at 11:00 A.M. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Moye will officiate. Interment will follow at Andersonville National Cemetery.
A native of Americus, GA, Mrs. Wiggins was born to the late Clarence Edward Castleberry and Sara Lila Green Castleberry. She had resided in Albany, GA since 1954 moving from Ft. Valley, GA. Mrs. Wiggins was a homemaker and was employed for twenty years with J.P Stevens Company as a carpet inspector. She was a Baptist by faith, a member of the Woodmen of The World and was preceded in death by her husband, Donald B. Wiggins.
Survivors include her son, Lee Wiggins and his wife Freda of Albany, GA, a grandchild and her husband, Melissa and Chris Basko and two great-grandchildren, Hunter Dykes and Joey Dykes all of Baconton, GA.
The family will receive friends one hour before the service at Mathews Funeral Home.
