Sanford Waterman Stalvey, Jr

Sanford Waterman Stalvey, Jr. 79, of Putney, GA died Friday, September 14, 2012 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Graveside Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Enon Baptist Church Cemetery, Mitchell Co., GA.

A native of Marion, SC, Mr. Stalvey had resided in Albany, GA for the past forty years. He was retired from the Air Force and was a computer programmer with MCLB until his retirement. He was of the Episcopal faith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Patricia Wilson Stalvey and a son, Kirk Stalvey.

Survivors include, two daughters, Cathy Ashberry (Brad), Lisa Shumake (Rod), two sons, Ron Stalvey, Don Stalvey (Sylvia) all of Albany, GA, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.

The family is at the residence of Brad and Cathy Ashberry, 2401 N. Hibiscus Rd., Albany, GA.
