Sandra Barber Kierce

Sandra Barber Kierce, 77, of Albany, GA passed away Friday, February 17, 2023 at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Norman Denney will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Kierce was born in Bainbridge, GA and was educated in the Decatur Co. School System and was a graduate of the 1963 class of Bainbridge High School.  She retired from Bell South Telecommunications and was a member of First Baptist Church of Albany.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh G. Barber and Mabel Kelly Barber, her husband, Travis LaDon Kierce, Sr., a daughter, Deneen Kierce Williamson and a sister, Elaine Cowart.

Survivors include her children, Travis LaDon (Bubba) Kierce, Jr. (Tonya), Leesburg, GA, Kelley Kierce, Albany, GA, son-in-law, Mike Williamson, McClenny, FL, Brooke Kierce Johns (Tony), Leesburg, GA, brother, Glenn K. Barber (Kathy), Atlanta, GA, grandchildren, Heather Harrell, Jordan Kierce, Payton Kierce, Dylan Manley, Cody Kierce, Trenton Johns, Savannah Kaye Johns and great-grandchildren, Alexis Arena, Jayden Zuckerman and Ava Zuckerman.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 21, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at Mathews Funeral Home.
