Sandra "Sandy" Lynn Carlton

Sandra Lynn “Sandy” Carlton,74, of Albany, GA, died Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at Emory University Hospital at Midtown. No services will be held at this time.

Sandy was born in Greensboro, GA on November 20, 1949 to Johnny and Ester Tolbert. She grew up in Columbus and graduated from Jordan High School in 1967. Sandy moved to Albany as a young adult and was employed with Peach Bowl Bowling Lanes for many years. There she met her future husband, Tony Carlton and they married in 1991. She continued her career with ACC Distributors where she retired. Sandy enjoyed taking care and loving her cats and dog along with fishing and spending time with her sisters.

Survivors include her husband, Tony Carlton of Albany, GA, her children, David Randall (Mary) Ward of Columbia, AL and Jonathan Keith (Shannon) Ward of Albany, GA, Richard Carlton (Jen) of Snellville, Ga, Chris Carlton of Hoover, Al, siblings, Brenda Amerson of Columbus, GA, Shelia Martin of LaGrange, GA and Janice Jackson of Columbus, GA, her grandchildren, Justin Ward, Chris Jackson, Jennifer Jackson, Arden Carlton, Mitchell Carlton, Libby Carlton, Haleigh Carlton, Kenzie Carlton. Great grandchildren, Bradley Knighton, Hollie Knighton, Elijah Jackson, and Aaliyah Jackson.
