Samma Brown Campbell

Samma Brown Campbell, 86, of Macon, GA, formerly of Albany, GA, died peacefully on October 18, 2023 at Pine Pointe Hospice.  Private services will be held by the family with Mathew Luce officiating. 

Samma was born in Greeneville, TN on September 21, 1937 to the late Peter R. and Sarah Susong Brown.  She graduated from Gulf Park College in Gulfport, MS.  Samma moved to Albany, GA in 1966.  She started a 25-year banking career with First Federal Savings and Loan in 1974 and retired from Community National Bank in 1999. Samma was faithful serving in her church over the years and loved the Lord deeply.  She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Campbell in 2008.

Survivors include her children, Linwood (Kim) Crowder of Knoxville, TN and Lisa (Mike) Lawson of Macon, GA, five grandchildren, Iris Luce (Mat), Macon, GA, Nathan Crowder (Christian), Knoxville, TN, Meredith Mead (Kaleb), Colorado Springs, CO, Anthony Crowder (Erin), Statham, GA, Mason Crowder, Knoxville, TN, one great grandchild, Vera Ruth Luce and her beloved Yorkie, Bella.
