Sallie W. Bodley

Sallie William Bodley of Leesburg, GA formerly Albany, GA passed away Thursday, July 10, 2025. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, July 17, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Northview Cemetery in Dublin, GA

Born in Dublin, GA, Mrs. Bodley had lived in Florida and Texas before moving to Albany, GA in 1965. She was retired from the Dougherty Co. School System and was a member of Raleigh White Baptist Church and after its closing she joined Calvary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Noah S. Williams and Mary Curry Williams, her husband, Luther Emmett Bodley, Sr. and a son Luther Emmett Bodley, Jr.

Survivors include her children, Norman William Bodley, Fayetteville, NC and Marilyn Ann Hornsby, Putney, GA, brother, W. T. Williams, Florida, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home following services.
