Rosie Rebecca Nickerson

Rosie Rebecca Hunter Nickerson, 81. of Graves, GA., died Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at Seymour Southern Comforts.

Funeral arrangements will be announced.

Rosie was born August 3, 1944 in Greenville, MS., to the late Benjamin and Bertha Hunter. She worked for and retired from Bellsouth now AT&T after many years of service. Rosie was an artist and enjoyed painting and enjoyed doing puzzles. She was an active member of New Bethel Baptist Church and loved her church family.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her siblings, Helen Bassit, Dorothy Brent, Floyd Griffin, Roy Hopkins and Bobby Barfield and her special friend, Jeanelle Harvey.

Survivors include her sister, Ethel Mae Barfield, her brothers, William B. Barfield, Jr. (Joyce) and George Barfield, and an adopted niece, Shannon Harvey Ward, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
