Roney C. Thigpen

Roney C. Thigpen, 82, of Albany, GA., died Saturday, February 2, 2013 at his residence. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Gainey Cemetery, Grady Co., GA.

A native of Gibson, GA, Mr. Roney had resided in Albany, GA for the past seventy five years. He was a self-employed brick mason and was of the Christian faith.

Survivors include his wife, Betty R. Thigpen, Albany, GA., a son, Ronnie (Ricky) Thigpen (Kim) and a daughter, Susan Thigpen Hernandez (Richard) both of Lee Co., GA, a sister, Kathryne McCroan, Coosada, AL. and four grandchildren, Jessica Hernandez Maurer, Rylee Thigpen, Eric Hernandez and Dara Thigpen.

The family will receive friends following the services at the cemetery.
