Ronald C. “Ron” Bryant, 65, of Lee County, GA, died December 10, 2022 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.  Memorial services will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Albany Shrine Club on Lovers Lane Road with Military Honors.  Daniel Sellers will officiate.  Visitation will follow the service.

 

Ron was born in Greenville, SC to Buford and Sara Bryant.  He grew up in a military family and they moved many times before settling in Bartow, FL.  Then later in his teen years he moved to Leesburg, GA where he attended Lee County High School from 1976 to 1977. He joined the US Army in February, 1978 and received his high school diploma while serving at Fort Campbell, KY. He served in the 326th Engineer Battalion, 101st Airborne Division.

 

After serving his country, Ron returned to Lee County with his family where he was employed at Lilliston Corp, MCLB Albany, Kingsland Submarine base, Firestone, and then finished his working career at Cooper Tire where he worked for many years as a Warehouse Supervisor. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and fellowshipping with people.  Ron was a member of Chehaw Lodge # 701 F & AM, Hasan Shriners where he served on the Directors Staff and was an active member of the Albany Shrine Club.  In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by two siblings, Joan Presley and Gerry L Bryant, Sr.

 

Survivors include his mother, Mary Bryant of Bartow, FL, Marsha Sellers of Lee County, GA, his daughters, Stacey (Ronnie) Coxwell of Sasser, GA and Stephanie (Kevin) Mitchell of Leesburg, GA, Marsha’s children, Daniel Sellers (Courtney) of Montgomery, AL and Gina Hinrichs of Maiden Rock, WI, his siblings, Sybil (Randy) Balamucki of Detroit, MI and Robert (Jodi) Bryant of Bartow, FL, a sister-in-law, Diane Bryant of Thomasville, GA, his grandchildren, Joshua and Leeland Coxwell, Carter, Hayes and Hudson Rheney, Grayson Breland and Madelynn Sellers, Brittany Munn, Hanah Williams and Ethan and Coen Hindrichs, three great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews who adored him.
