Roger Allen Till

Roger Till, 64, of Lee County, GA died May 7, 2012, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. A memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, May 12, 2012, at Mathews Funeral Home.

Roger was born and raised in Alabama until moving to California with his family as a teenager. Roger had resided in Lee County, GA since 2007, moving from Minnesota. He was a retired Grounds and Maintenance Supervisor with the U.S. Postal Service in Albany, GA and was retired from the U.S. Air Force. Roger was of the protestant faith, a member of the National Sporting Clay Association, NRA and a member of American Legion Post 30. He enjoyed golfing, horseback riding, and sporting clays. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnie LaFayette Till and Ethel Ineta Allen Till, a brother, Paul Till.

Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Till of Lee County, GA; two daughters and sons-in-law, Andrea and Bill Zimniak of East Grand Forks, MN and Stacy and Jerry Handy of Riverview, FL; two granddaughters, Mercedes and Ariel Zimniak.

The family will receive friends after the memorial service.
