Robert "Robby" Joseph Carver

Robert Joseph “Robby” Carver, 41, of Albany, GA, died April 13, 2024.  Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 21, 2024 at 3:00 pm at Mathews Funeral Home.  Dr. David Benton and Dr. William E. “Butch” Knight will officiate. The United States Army Honor Guard will provide Military Honors.  A private family interment will be held at Andersonville National Cemetery. 

Robby was born in Atlanta, GA on July 22, 1982, was raised in Brooks County, GA, attended School in Lowndes County, GA, before moving to Lee County, GA and graduating from Lee County High School.  During his teens he played baseball, enjoyed skate boarding, gaming and was a lifelong Boston Red Socks Baseball fan. 

Robby served his country in the United States Army and lived in in Los Angeles, CA for eleven years before moving to San Diego, CA.  He graduated from The San Diego Culinary Institute in 2020 and served as a Chef at the Pizza Port.  Robby returned to Albany, GA in 2023 and was employed with Secure Car Care. 

Survivors include his mother, Minnie James of Lake City, FL, his father, Buddy (Rhonda) Carver of Cordele, GA, a sister, Connie (Robert) Milligan of Lake City, FL and his step-siblings, Kelli Halstead of Valdosta, GA, Aubrey (Karen) Halstead of Cordele, GA and Christopher (Mariah) Carver of Yukon, OK. 

 The family will receive friends Sunday, April 21, 2024 from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Mathews Funeral Home.
