Robert Eddie “Bob” Holloway, 89 of Leesburg, Georgia passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on Monday, June 15, 2026 at his residence. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, June 18, 2026 at Mathews Funeral Home at 12:00 noon. The Visitation will be held one hour before the service at 11:00 am. Services will be conducted by David E. Blackwell. Burial to follow at Andersonville National Cemetery with full military honors at 2:00 pm.

Bob was born in Ardmore, Oklahoma to the late Edd Chambers Holloway and Quincey Mae Ray. Bob joined the U.S. Marine Corps at the age of 17, he later retired in 1974. He was stationed in Albany, Georgia in 1956. It was at that time he met the love of his life, Lottie Mae Land, at Sunnyside Baptist Church, where they were later married in 1958. They created and lived a beautiful life together for 67 years, and would have celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary in August.

Bob was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, golfing and traveling with Lottie. Bob was a Master Mason and member and Past Master of P.T. Schley Lodge # 229 and Daylight Lodge #741. He was 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason and a member of The Valley of Albany. Bob was a very active member of The Hasan Shriners where he was a member and Past Commander of The Legion of Honor.

 In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brother Curtis P. Holloway, sisters Versell Porterfield, Hazel Hestand and infant great granddaughter Sarah Elizabeth Moore.

He is survived by his wife Lottie, children John (Wendy) of Leesburg, David (Wren) of Woodstock, Ga. and Rob (Kelly) of Leesburg. Grandchildren, Jennifer (Lee) Bradley, Laura (Jeremy) Moore, John Robert (Allie) Holloway, Kyle (Bethany) Holloway, Jack Holloway, Zane Holloway (Julia - fiancé) and 14 great-grandchildren.
