Robert James (Jimmy) Clegg

Robert James (Jimmy) Clegg, 75, of Albany, GA passed away, Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Floral Memory Gardens. Rev. Eric Newman will officiate.

Jimmy was born in San Mateo, CA and moved to Albany, GA in 1953. He was a graduate of Albany High in 1966 and attended Albany Junior College.

He worked with the Albany Herald as circulation manager before going into the remodeling business with his father.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Ila Clegg, wife, Dreka Sanders Clegg, son, Don Clegg and brother, Doug Clegg.

Survivors include his daughter, Melissa McAdams, Cumming, GA, sisters, Barbara Clegg, Gainesville, GA and Betty Parks, Cumming, GA, granddaughter, Emily McAdams, Gainesville, GA, nephews, Steve Clegg, Manassas, VA, Janet Diaz, Manassas, VA, Tonya Forrester, Gainesville, GA, Catherine Delp, Gainesville, GA and nine great nieces and nephews.
