Robert "Bobby" Bruner

Robert "Bobby" Bruner, 71, of Albany, died, Thursday, July 30, 2026.

His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday August 3, 2026 at Avalon Methodist Church with interment to follow at Floral Memory Gardens. Rev. Debbie Cone will officiate.

A lifelong resident of Albany, Mr. Bruner was retired from TransPower, and a faithful member of Avalon Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing, cutting grass, loved working in his yard, rooting plants, taking care of his flowers watching birds, building bird feeders and working at the church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Bruner and his in-laws, Eugene and Ruby Henry.

Survivors include his wife Darlene Henry Bruner, daughters, Starla Bruner Fincher (David) and Beverly Bruner Ethridge (David), grandchildren, Greg Williams (Tyler), Tyler Williams (Jennianne), Kaylee Brown (Wesley), Logan Harvey, Dean Fincher, Devin Fincher, Ashlyn Ethridge, Jasmine Bruner, Brianna Reece, James Ethridge, Henry Ethridge, Sarah Ethridge, Holly Reece, and Ariel Reece, 7 great grandchildren and one on the way, his mother, Shirley Bruner, his sister, Donna Martenn (Chuck); and aunt, Lee Krolnik.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Avalon Methodist Church.
