Robbie Ann Willis Horne

Robbie Ann Willis Horne, 81, of Albany Georgia, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness. Funeral services will be held at Mathews Funeral Home on Monday, January 5, 2026 at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow to Crown Hill Cemetery. Rev. Hal Pinson will officiate.

Born on July 27, 1944, in Cordele, Georgia, to the late Jack and Alice Willis. She moved to Albany in 1956 and met her late husband Leonard at Calvery Baptist Church. They fell in love and married in 1964. Robbie began her banking career with C & S Bank, and she retired from Heritage Bank, leaving behind a legacy of commitment and integrity.

Beyond her professional life, Robbie had numerous hobbies and interests that brought her joy and allowed her to connect with her community. She was passionate about baking and cooking, with a particular fondness for making her famous jelly. Her love for crocheting enabled her to create beautiful crafts, which she generously shared with those in need.

She was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star, and a member of Byne Memorial Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard "Buzzy" Horne, and her daughter, Cindy Horne.

Robbie is survived by her son, Leonard “Len” (Christy) Horne, and her beloved grandchildren, Steven Horne, Joshua Horne, and Jerrica Horne, as well as her great-grandchild, Koa Jefferson. She also leaves behind her brothers, Jack Willis (Ginger) and John Willis (Kathy), as well as many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral on Monday, January 5, 2025.
