Raymond "Ray" Akridge Jr

Raymond P. “Ray” Akridge Jr., 66, of Albany, GA, passed away December 4, 2025 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held Monday, December 8, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Crown Hill Cemetery. Mr. Ross Powell will officiate.

Ray was born in Albany, GA on June 15, 1959 to Raymond and Blanche Akridge. He graduated from Westover High School in 1977, he enjoyed hunting and was employed with Tanner Deen Motors for many years and Safety Max. Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Sargent Akridge, his mother, Blanche Akridge,  his brother, Ronnie Akridge, and his sister Linda Beckham. 

Survivors include his father, Raymond Akridge, Sr., and sister: Brenda Cawley (Ed) of Albany, GA and a sister-n-law, Deborah Akridge of Lee County, GA, other survivors include Dottie Lee Cawley and numerous nephews.

The family will receive friends following the service at Crown Hill Cemetery.
