Rana Davis Parsons

Rana Davis Parsons, 59, of Smithville, Georgia, passed away Friday, September 11, 2026.

Rana was born in Americus, Georgia, to George Richard Davis and Joyce Young Davis. She was raised in Smithville, where she attended Lee County High School and met the love of her life, Shane Parsons. Rana and Shane were high school sweethearts, and their love continued throughout the years. Together, they settled in Smithville, Georgia, where they built their home and raised their family. Of all the roles Rana held in her life, her favorite was being Mama/Momma, and most of all, Lovie. Her family was the center of her world. She loved spending all the time she could with the people she loved and was especially devoted to her grandchildren, whom she was so incredibly proud of. She cherished every moment spent with them and treasured the memories they made together.

Rana also leaves behind her best buddy and faithful companion, Copper, her beloved Cheweenie, who was always by her side.

She is survived by her husband, Shane Parsons; daughters, Shayna Parsons Ellis (Jeremy) and Destiny Edwards, all of Smithville, GA; son, Kolt Parsons (Kaitlyn) of Leesburg, GA; sister, Karen Davis Booker (Dwight) of Lee, FL; brother-in-law, Boulder Parsons (Ginger) of Rebecca, GA; her six grandchildren, Haze Edwards, Steel Edwards, Brylyn Parsons, Gatlin Ellis, Triton Parsons, and Sylar Ellis; as well as several nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Rana will forever be remembered for the love she gave so freely, her devotion to her family, and the special place she held in the hearts of those who knew her. She was a wife, Mama/Momma, Lovie, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Her greatest joy was her family, and her greatest legacy will be the love she leaves behind.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Leesburg Cemetery. Rev. Henry Lee Young, Jr. will officiate.
