Rachel Rabon Lisenby

Rachel Rabon Lisenby of Leesburg, GA, died Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 20, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Leesburg. Rev Wesley Croft and Mr. Ed Hood will officiate. Interment will follow at Leesburg Cemetery.

Mrs. Lisenby was born in Arlington, GA to the late Jesse and Clara Rabon. She worked for Southern Bell later named AT&T and retired after forty years of service. Rachel was an active member of First Baptist Church of Leesburg. She taught Sunday School, a GA class, served as the chairman of the benevolence committee and cooked for the Wednesday night supper. She also enjoyed working in her yard, going fishing, camping and traveling.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Edd Lisenby, her brother Billy Rabon and a sister Ann Swords.

Survivors include her children, Eddie Lisenby (Carol), Lamanda Croft (Harold), Rodney Lisenby (Janet) and Lamar Lisenby, her grandchildren, Wesley Croft (Heather), Mandy Roberts (Derek), Jessica Tyson (Rodney), Megan Lisenby and Brandon Lisenby, her great grandchildren, Olivia Croft, Hudson Croft, Mattie Croft, Sawyer Croft, Cohen Roberts and Trent Roberts and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
