Peter Boman (Pete) Giddens

Peter Boman (Pete) Giddens, 70, of Irwinville, GA formerly of Albany, GA passed away Thursday, November 24, 2022. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Garvie Nichols will officiate. Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Pete was born on Sept 27, 1952 in Albany, GA to the late James Wilton Giddens and Shirley Vivian Boman Giddens.

He was a graduate of Dougherty High School and was a retired captain from the Albany Fire Department. He was also a farmer in Irwin County, GA.

He was a member of the Sons of the Confederate Veterans and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Jan Wilton Giddens.

Survivors include his wife, Kay Willingham Giddens, Irwinville, GA, son, James Carl Giddens (Michelle), Alabama, brother, Mack Giddens (Kathy), Albany, GA, step-daughter, Angel Ward (Ken), of Fitzgerald, GA and two grandsons.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Mathews Funeral Home.
