Opal Yvonne Schramm

Opal Yvonne Schramm, 89, of Albany, GA, passed away October 5, 2026 at the Willson Hospice House. Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday October 7th at 2:00 pm at the Leesburg Cemetery. Dr. Tyler Harris will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service.

Mrs. Schramm was born in Cordele, GA to Murray and Ethel White. She grew up in Cordele and graduated from Crisp County High School. She met James Schramm in Parrott, GA and they married in 1952. They made their home in Dawson, GA until 1964 when they moved to Albany, GA.

She was employed with Lee County Manufacturing, the Jewelry Department at Rosenberg Brothers Department Store and served as a hostess at Applebee’s. Mrs. Schramm was a member of The Albany Bowling League and enjoyed sewing. She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Schramm, her husband, James B. “Jim” Schramm and her daughter, Gail Beisel.

Survivors include her son, Mike Schramm of Gainesville, FL, her grandchildren, Corey Schramm (Marley) of Gainesville, FL, Collin Schramm (Kate)of Denver, CO, Beth Beisel of Albany, GA, Kim Heath (Jason), Pamela Sexton (Jeremy) and Andy Beisel all of Leesburg, GA and John Schramm of Atlanta, Ga. and her great-grandchildren, Joshua, Hayley, Hannah, Harper and Adalynn James.
