Opal Delois "Dee" Casey

Opal Delois “Dee” Casey, 77, of Albany, Georgia, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2026, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, in the Chapel of Sherwood Baptist Church. Matt Casey and Rev. John Spencer will officiate. Interment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.

Dee was born in Pelham, Georgia, to the late Hayward and Leopal Law. She graduated from Pelham High School and, shortly thereafter, moved to Albany, where she began her career. It was there that she met Ronnie Casey, and the couple married in 1972.

Dee was employed by Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital and Palmyra Medical Center before retiring in 2015. She was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church and found great joy in fishing, dining out with friends, working in her yard, and, above all, spending time with her family. Dee will be remembered most for the deep love she had for her children and grandchildren, who were the greatest blessing in her life.

She is survived by her son, Matt Casey (Becca), and her daughter, Haley Stone (Jason), all of Albany; her grandchildren, Dawson Casey, Kate Casey, Caroline Stone, and Luke Stone; and the father of her children, Ronnie Casey.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, in the Atrium of Sherwood Baptist Church, prior to the funeral service.

Those who wish may make memorial contributions in Dee's memory to the Albany Biblical Counseling Center.
