Obie Newton Golden, Jr.

Obie N. Golden, Jr., 79, of Dawson, GA passed away Sunday, June 14, 2026 at his residence. Graveside services will be held at Crown Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Golden was born in Cusseta, GA and spent most all of his life in Dawson, GA. He was retired from MCLB and enjoyed fishing. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Obie Newton Golden, Sr. and Frances Wylene Troup Golden, his wife Linda Lee Golden and a brother, James Golden.

Survivors include his siblings, Martha Golden Jordan, Sasser, GA, Hardy F. Golden, Albany, GA, Beth Golden Anthony and her husband, Richard, Ocala, FL, four nephews and two nieces.
