Norma Johnson Burdette

A golden heart stopped beating and the hard-working hands of Norma Johnson Burdette of Albany, Georgia peacefully went home to be with the Lord, May 12, 2023, at home while surrounded by family.

Norma was treasured by family and friends who will carry her legacy with them in their hearts. She loved to experience the beauty of nature through her gardening, bird watching, and traveling. Of all the physical beauty she has brought to the world through her gardening talents and interior decorating skills the real gifts were not something that could only be seen with the eyes. Mrs. Norma added a kind spirit, warm smile, listening ears, helpful hands, and an outpouring of love to friends and strangers alike. Life has many facets and her time here on earth was just one. Although she will be missed dearly by those that love her, they know death is not the end and she will be resting in her eternal home. Norma lived an abundant life enjoying time with family and friends. Her door and dinner table were always open to anyone that needed a warm meal or heartfelt conversation. Those closest to her called her daughter, sister, Aunt Nincy, Mom, and probably her favorite, MeMaw. Her love for the Lord, work ethic, courageous pursuit of her goals, and the value she placed on a strong family unit are just a few of the wonderful qualities her family will remember forever. Her steadfast leadership and unconditional love have left a lasting impact that will ripple through many generations to come. Norma was a woman who loved well and was well loved.

Her Celebration of Life will be Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at 11:00 at Sherwood Baptist Church with interment to follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.  Rev. Charlie Bridges and Rev. John Spencer will officiate.
