Noah Scott Horton, 30, of Wadley, GA., formerly of Albany, Ga, passed away on June 26, 2025 at his residence in Wadley, GA. Memorial services honoring Noah’s life will be held Friday, July 11, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Mathews Funeral Home. Mr. David Blackwell will officiate.
Noah was born on July 1, 1994 in Albany, Ga to Debra and Scott Horton. He was a 2013 graduate from Deerfield-Windsor School. During his time as a student, he played football and wrestled for the Knights. A highlight of his seasons were the two state championships he achieved as a member of the football team.
After high school, Noah began working in dog training at Southern Tradition Kennels, learning the ropes from his brother, Caleb. This experience is where he truly learned his love for dogs. His patience and kind nature were continuously shown through his work. Noah never felt more at home than in the field with a dog. He continued his work at Ogeechee River Retrievers where he worked as a trainer until his passing.
Noah was also an avid fisherman, who loved spending time on the water. Whether it was with friends, family, or alone, time on the Flint waiting on that big Shoalie bite was always a day well spent.
He also loved his friends and family. They would describe him as someone who was always smiling, thoughtful, and kind. A true heart of gold.
He is survived by his mother (Debra Horton) and father (Scott Horton) of Albany, Ga. His brother, Caleb Horton (Robin) of Leesburg, Ga and his sister, Lindsey Kotter (Jake) of Albany, Ga along with his nieces (Caleigh Horton and Scarlett Kotter) and nephews (Mason Horton and Thomas Kotter).
The family will receive friends on the day of the service from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Mathews Funeral Home.
Those desiring may make memorials in memory of Noah to The Bridges of Hope, 2845 Jackie Snider Trail, Stapleton, GA, 30823.
